When Roadtrippers, in partnership with THL, expanded into Australasia, they needed launch collateral that included video, digital, direct comms, and social collateral. We had an insane amount of fun creating how–to videos, pre-roll ads, banner ads, emails and landing pages for over two years.
A full case study is definitely due, but keep scrolling for a few highlights.
The first piece of work was a launch video for Australia, which set the tone for everything else we created for about 14 months, before a brand refresh from the US started rolling out—explaining for the difference in tone and style when we did the same for New Zealand.
We turned one of Roadtrippers’ US–based team members into a bonafide celebrity by turning his screen capture how–to videos into a full series, complete with his own ‘Tips with Tim’ graphic at the end.
CamperMate is one of New Zealand’s most popular travel apps, and we created collateral to promote their Freedom Camping Fine Guarantee with a pre-roll ad, as well as exploring some updated brand elements.
A series of unexpected ‘moments’ were turned into a series of pre–roll YouTube ads. From conception to design and motion graphics and finding the right music, I had heaps and heaps of fun developing these with creative direction from Roadtrippers Australasia CEO, Paul Shale.
