Previously named ShowMeTV, Lightbox is a new online TV service from Telecom Digital Ventures. Consortium was awarded this account after a competitive pitch and is responsible for branding and across–the–line collateral. The logo has been designed as both a two–dimensional brandmark and as a 3D rendered lightbox. The brand elements reference the Dutch art movement neoplasticism from the early 20th century as a happy result of an instruction to retain the yellow and red brand colours established for ShowMeTV.
Instead of a static brand guideline document, a brand website was developed. The site was designed to not only house current brand guidelines and usage rules, but contained sections on brand voice; studio permissions and usage rights; a brand asset download center; and a library of past collateral for easy reference.
A series of 3D layouts was rendered using Cinema 4D using empty lightboxes in various configurations. These could then be used for any number of collateral outputs using flat typography and graphic styles as set out in the brand guideline website.
